Lions star WR Johnson inactive vs. Packers

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Detroit Lions star wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who spent the week battling knee issues, was declared inactive Sunday and won’t play against the Green Bay Packers.

Detroit is now without its top two wide receivers, as Johnson and Nate Burleson both won’t play Sunday.

Johnson leads Detroit with 21 catches for 312 yards and four touchdowns this season. Johnson declined to talk about his injury Thursday after missing practice for the second straight day.

In Johnson’s absence, the Lions figure to use Ryan Broyles, Kris Durham, Pat Edwards and possibly even new wide receiver Kevin Ogletree.
